"Differences were meant not to divide but to enrich." J. H. Oldham.

At Kingsway Primary, we follow the Wirral Syllabus which aims at providing a framework that places value on the ethos, morality and cultural understanding that religious education can establish.  We have developed a carefully constructed RE curriculum which follows the content of the EYFS statutory framework and the National Curriculum, as it was designed by local teachers, curriculum leaders and adapted by our class teachers.

Seacombe is a very monocultural area with the majority of our children coming from white families, few of which have religious affinities. At Kingsway, we recognise the variety of religious and non-religious backgrounds from which our pupils come. We welcome the diversity and we are sensitive to the home background of each child. We are glad to have the active support of religious and non-religious members of our local community to support our teaching of RE.

We have a close relationship with the Seacombe United Reformed Church and Minister Lorraine Aizlewood-Threlfall. Throughout the year, children are taken on visits to our local church and they are taught by members of the community about key religious values and stories. We also encourage members of various religions to come into our school to speak to our children
