Homework Expectations and Targets          

Spelling – Each week your child will bring home a list of spellings or a spelling strategy.  They need to learn these spellings and use them in sentences/lists.

Reading – Each night your child is to read at least one page out loud from their reading scheme book.  An adult (parent/carer) must sign each night.  It is your child’s responsibility to bring their book back to school/home each day.

Other – The teacher may give additional homework linked to a particular topic or subject.

Your child will have curriculum targets each half term in Literacy and Numeracy.  These are goals which the children will work towards.  Sometimes these goals will last more than a half-term.  They may be the same or similar targets on an IEP.
