This half term we will be studying Lost and Found, a fictional story written by Oliver Jeffers. Pupils will be developing their previous skills, taught in F2 in order to write an adventure story based on the structure of the story. Children will be able to write recognisable letters, most of which are correctly formed and spell words by identifying sounds in them and representing the sounds with a letter or phrase.

Our class will be developing the skill of retelling stories and consider their particular characteristics whilst also discussing the meanings of words, lining new meanings to those already known. Pupils will be able to name some of the characters and predict what may happen next in the storyline, using methods such as: discussions, presentations, performances, role-play, improvisations and debates.
